Gap finance introduction — Africa

Your project is ready.
The funding gap
shouldn't stop it.

You have the land, the plans, and your senior funding in place. The final 10–30% of project cost — the gap finance — is what's holding you back. BridgeCap Africa connects you directly to international capital providers who have the mandate and appetite to fund African projects at rates your local bank cannot match.

Who we help

Any large-scale project
with a funding gap.

If your project has senior debt in place and needs $1M–$20M to complete the capital stack, we can help — regardless of sector. We work with project owners across real estate, infrastructure, energy, and beyond.

🏗️
Property Developers

Residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality developments. If you have land title, planning, and senior debt confirmed — and a gap of $1M–$20M — we can introduce you to capital providers who fund African real estate.

🛣️
Infrastructure Projects

Roads, bridges, ports, logistics hubs, and public infrastructure. Large-scale infrastructure projects with government backing or offtake agreements are highly attractive to our international capital network.

Energy & Solar Projects

Renewable energy, solar farms, mini-grids, and utility-scale power projects. Impact-focused international capital providers actively seek qualifying African energy projects with strong fundamentals.

🏭
Industrial & Manufacturing

Industrial parks, manufacturing facilities, cold storage, and agri-processing. Projects that create jobs and anchor supply chains in Africa are well-positioned for international gap finance.

🏥
Social Infrastructure

Healthcare facilities, schools, student accommodation, and affordable housing. Development finance institutions in our network have specific mandates for social impact projects across Africa.

📋
Other Large-Scale Projects

If your project doesn't fit neatly into a category but has a fundable structure, senior debt in place, and a verified gap of $1M or more — contact us. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.

How it works

Three steps.
Full transparency.

We never handle your funds and we hold no capital. Our introducer fee is paid only at financial close. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you submit your project to the moment funding lands.

01
Submit your project

Submit your project details and supporting documents using the form below. We review every submission within 5 business days. If your project looks viable, we will contact you to schedule a Project Review Call — a focused conversation where we go through your project in detail, answer your questions, and confirm whether we can move forward together.

Submit a project →
02
We package your deal

If we agree to proceed after the Project Review Call, we work with you to build a bankable submission — project structure, financials, track record, and exit strategy — packaged to the standard international capital providers expect. A deal preparation fee applies at this stage. Nothing goes to a capital provider without your knowledge and approval.

03
Introduction and close

We match your project to the right capital provider from our verified network and make a formal introduction under a signed agreement. We coordinate both sides through due diligence to financial close. Our introducer fee — 1 to 5% of deal value — is collected only when the funding is confirmed. If the deal does not close, we do not earn.

Why BridgeCap Africa

We know both sides
of the deal.

On-the-ground African experience

Our founding team has worked directly on development finance in Kenya and understands how African projects are structured, what local banks will and won't fund, and what international capital providers need to see.

Kenya · East Africa · active network
Access to international capital

We are based in Europe with direct relationships with European and global capital providers — development finance institutions, mezzanine funds, impact investors, and specialist lenders. These are relationships most African project owners cannot build independently.

UK-based · European capital network
UK-registered. Professionally structured.

BridgeCap Africa is a UK-registered introduction business. All introductions are made under signed agreements governed by English law. We operate with full transparency — you know exactly what we do, what we earn, and when.

Rigorous vetting — in your favour

We vet every project before introducing it to capital providers. This protects our relationships — and it means when we present your project, it carries credibility. Capital providers trust what we send them. That trust is worth more than a cold approach.

DSCR 1.25x minimum · no weak submissions
We only get paid when you get funded

Our introducer fee — 1 to 5% of deal value — is paid at financial close. If the deal doesn't close, we don't earn. Our interests are directly aligned with yours. We have every reason to make your deal happen.

Fee at close · fully aligned
Honest about what we can and can't do

If your project doesn't qualify — wrong size, wrong structure, wrong stage — we will tell you clearly and quickly so you don't waste time. We would rather turn down a project than make an introduction we are not confident in.

No false promises · straight answers
Where we operate

We operate
across Africa.

If your project is in Africa, has senior debt in place, and needs M–0M to complete the capital stack — we want to hear from you. We work across the continent wherever the gap between local borrowing costs and international capital creates the greatest value for developers.

🌍
Sub-Saharan Africa
Local rates: 14–27% · International capital: 10–13%

Across East, West, and Southern Africa, local borrowing costs remain significantly higher than what international capital providers can offer. That gap is where BridgeCap operates — connecting project owners to funding their local bank cannot provide.

Active across the region
🌐
North Africa
Local rates: 18–24% · International capital: 10–13%

North African markets are seeing significant infrastructure and real estate investment demand. High local borrowing costs make international capital a compelling alternative for project owners with strong fundamentals.

The bigger the rate gap, the greater the saving

We focus on markets where local borrowing rates are highest relative to international capital — typically 5 to 15 percentage points cheaper. Use our savings calculator to see exactly what your project could save over the loan term.

What you
need to send us.

To review your project properly, we need the following documents. Submit them using the form and we will come back to you within 5 business days. If your project looks viable, we will schedule a Project Review Call to discuss next steps.

Land title deed — or equivalent proof of project ownership, lease, or development rights
Project brief — overview of the project including type, location, scale, timeline, and current stage
Senior lender approval — written confirmation that 50–70% of project cost has been approved by a bank or institution
Gap finance amount — the exact funding gap you need to close, clearly stated and supported by your cost breakdown
Previous track record — evidence of at least one completed project or relevant sector experience
Revenue or exit strategy — how the project generates income or is sold — sale, refinance, rental income, or offtake agreement

Don't have everything ready yet? Send us what you have and describe what's outstanding. We will let you know what we need before we can proceed.

About BridgeCap Africa

Built by people who
understand both sides.

BridgeCap Africa was founded by a team with direct experience in African project development and European capital markets. We have worked on development finance in Kenya and built relationships with international capital providers — giving us genuine access on both sides of every deal we work on.

We are not a directory, a platform, or a broker list. We are a professional introduction business. We vet every project before it leaves our hands, and we only make introductions when we are confident both sides will benefit.

01
We only work with projects we believe in

If your project doesn't meet our criteria, we say so clearly and quickly. We would rather decline upfront than waste your time or damage a capital provider relationship with a weak submission.

02
Our fee is earned at close — not before

A deal preparation fee is charged once your project is accepted into our pipeline. Our principal introducer fee — 1 to 5% of deal value — is earned only at financial close. We succeed when you do.

03
We never touch your money

BridgeCap Africa holds no capital and never handles client funds. We are an introducer — we connect qualified projects with verified capital providers. All capital flows directly between you and the funder.

04
UK registered. English law. Transparent terms.

BridgeCap Africa is a UK-registered company. All introductions are made under signed agreements governed by English law. No ambiguity. No informal arrangements. You know exactly what we are doing, what we earn, and when.
